Dr. Dallas Bailes, MD
Dr. Dallas Bailes has been practicing emergency medicine for 12 years. He grew up in California and graduated from Loma Linda University before attending emergency medicine residency at Metropolitan hospital in New York City. After graduating, he was invited to stay on as an associate professor where he completed a teaching fellowship.
Dr. Bailes has worked in every type of emergency medicine practice setting, from the county's busiest level 1 trauma center, to disaster relief in Haiti, to Cruise ship physician, to solo coverage in rural critical access hospitals in Colorado. He has found his passion in the intimate setting of freestanding medicine where he can practice emergency medicine without the restrictions often placed on physicians by large impersonal hospital management. He is finishing his emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship in early 2018 and plans to sit for the American Society of Echocardiography boards later in the year.
When Dr. Bailes is not working, he enjoys snowboarding, backcountry exploring, mountain biking, and spending time with his son, Jack, and his dog, Beauford.
